Anxiety disorders are a class of disorders marked by feelings of excessive apprehension and anxiety. Five principal types of anxiety disorders include: generalized anxiety disorder, phobic disorder, panic disorder and agoraphobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. A generalized anxiety disorder isn"t tied to any specific threat but is marked by high chronic level of anxiety. It"s also sometimes called free-floating anxiety, since it"s nonspecific. Symptoms include trembling, muscle tension, diarrhea, dizziness, faintness, swearing and. People who deletion one of these syndromes may suffer from another one later on. Anxiety disorders occur in 19% of the population heart palpitations. This anxiety disorder is generally seen in more females. A phobic disorder is marked by a persistent and irrational fear of an object or situation that presents no realistic danger. Some types of phobias that are very common include; acrophobia (heights), claustrophobia (enclosed places), brontophobia (storms), hydrophobia (water), and animal or insect phobias.
