Communication is relational because one party is sender and one is receiver at particular time. Social relations occurring in communication affect comminicatin process (senders message could be disrupted if they think receiver is attractive, intimiated etc) Communication important to org because thought to improve operations. Org gather info but also cont to ask for more. Perceptual process: responding to factors not aware of, or be influenced by emotional factors. Halo effect; use of one or two situations to generalize situation or person. 2) diff philosophies in life affect how much this sort of info is communicated. 3) info regarding procedures and practices within org. 5) getting subcordinates to believe in org goals.
