Health psychology is necessarily concerned with health behaviour. Certains behaviours can impact positively or negatively on one"s health. A behaviour that results from a conscious decision making process, such as deciding to stop smoking. A behaviour in which is likely only to be carried out once (or a few times). e. g. sterilization, vaccination. Something that people do on regular basis such as teeth-cleaning (often without conscious thought) Behaviour that is reinforced through biological or psychological dependency, such as smoking. Behaviour shared by a group of people that reflects a cultural identity, such as specific dietary patterns lifestyle. A set of behaviours that makes up a person"s way of life, such as patterns of physical activity and diet.
