Alveoli - small air sacs, where oxygen from fresh air is exchanged for co2 in the blood. Lungs expand -> air is drawn in. Lungs compressed -> air is expelled while breathing in) Top of trachea just behind notch at top of breastbone: holding breath with mouth open, close vocal folds preventing air from leaving or entering lungs = glottal stop supporting several muscles.
