Huge impact on surviving family and friends. Suicide is a deliberate act of self-harm taken with the expectation that it will be fatal. Four types of people who commit suicide. Death seekers clearly and explicitly seek to end their lives. Intentions may be present for a long period of time (may prepare will, buying gun etc. ) or are fleeting (if prevented, become ambivalent) Death initiators have a clear intention to die but believe they are hastening an inevitable death. Death ignorers intend to end their lives but don t believe it means the end of their existence.
