Why: it has been suggested that the cultural freedom legislated by the multicultural act is more symbolic than real. Culture is the knowledge, language, values, customs, and material objects that are passed from person to person and from one generation to the next in a human group or society. Instincts are attributed to reflexes and drives. Even the expression of these biological characteristics is channeled by culture. Material culture: a component of culture that consists of the physical or tangible creations that members of a society make, use, and share. Technology: the knowledge, techniques, and tools that make it possible for people to transform resources into usable forms, as well as the knowledge and skills required to use them after they are developed. Nonmaterial culture: consists of the abstract or intangible human creations of society that influence people"s behavior. E. g. language, beliefs, values, rules of behavior, family patterns, and political systems.
