Mills: proposes those who cannot see the problem within themselves/society cannot properly address/fix the subject. Social issues: problems caused by larger social factors. Most times, personal troubles are not relatable to social issues. Quality of mind: the ability to look beyond and into social context. Sociological imagination: understanding the relationship between induvial lives and the larger society. Ask yourself: who am i and why do i think the way i do? . Cheerful robots: those ignorant people who are unable or unwilling to see the world as it is. Seeing the general in particular: realizing that you may only see one event/incident but recognizing that it happens even when you don"t see. The strange in the familiar: seeing the norm as irregular. Realizing that everything we do is only considered normal when in fact the practices are very weird.
