Universality: clients often believe no one shares their struggles, so it can be very uplifting and motivating to be in a room with others who do. Group cohesiveness: refers to the feelings of interconnectedness among group members. Characterized by trust, warmth, acceptance, belongingness, and value. Does not necessarily mean that every group interaction will be polite and courteous.
