Bioarchaeologists study the human biological component of the archaeological record. A lot can be inferred from bones. The ood in the carson desert of nevada exposed many human burials. When modern archaeologists encounter native american remains they involve the na community. He found more than 500 individuals in the stillwater. Unlike zooarchaelogists for animals, they are rarely concerned with minimum number of individuals or number of identi ed specimens cause they typically aren"t as fragmented. They are more concerned with if remains form a burial population. Some are hard though like in many eastern na tribes, they laid bodies in a charnel house where the body could decompose in the open and then placed into a communal grave known as bundle burials. Women"s pelvic area is much bigger (to birth children) u shaped. Their sciatic notch, a u-shaped indentation in each os coxa"s posterior (rear) position is wider.
