This article is in uenced by work of j. l. Says the vulnerability of every day life is due to being embodied creatures and beings who have a life in language. We as human beings cannot avoid being subject to ethics. The paradox is that how can we account for fact that humans act unethically. Some scholars confront this by making a distinction between morality and ethics. It is assumed that a universal measure is needed to overcome subjectiveness of morality. Gonna give examples from their own ethnographies. 1) how rule following is different from the notion of a moral life in the everyday. 2) what it takes to allow life to be renewed, to achieve the everyday, under conditions of grinding poverty or catastrophic violence that erode the very possibility of the ordinary. 3) what form moral strivings take in the work performed to give birth to the eventual everyday from within the actual every day.
