Augustus was born into a prosperous family and his father (gaius octavius) was the first of his family to attain senatorial rank. He was wealth and had a large reputation but still had a job as a financial agent distributing bribes and performing other services related to the election. He acquired the province of macedonia in governing he displayed justice and bravery. His brother quintus had 3 children: octavia, and 2 by atia (julius caesars sister"s daughter) octavia and augustus.
