Vertical exaggeration = vertical scale / horizontal scale. Culture: the specialized behavioural patterns, understandings, and adaptations that summarize the way of life of a group of people. Differences in culture give the landscapes a different feel . No individual experiences the entire culture, they each have their own roles in the system. Segregated based on age, sex, status, and occupation. Individuals are governed by rules of society and status. Change and consistence (when culture changes, everyone in the culture changes with it) Masses (few individuals can have a large impact on their culture due to mass media) Plurality (many cultures exist within other cultures) Culture traits: learned traits from our culture such as language or techniques. Culture complex: individuals traits that are interrelated form this complex. Can be used to describe the status of a certain society. Ex. wealth is defined by number of sheep.
