Some are helpful in living, while others are not. The adult ego our data-processing center. Allows us to process data accurately and come up w/ solutions to our problems based on facts as opposed to prejudged thoughts. The child ego the part of our personality that is the seat of emotions, thoughts, and feelings and all of the feeling state memories" that we have of ourselves from childhood.
