Parties to offense: s21 everyone is party to offence who. Does or omits to do anything for the purpose of aiding any person to commit it. Anyone who knowingly aids, abets, or counsels someone to commit offence can be conviction - accessory. Conviction for accessory requires physical and mental elements. Physical: may promote offence, encourage it, help in process of it. Mental (critical): their actions were for the purpose of getting the perpetrator to commit the offence. Offence even if you did not do the job properly you can still be convicted. "encourages intentionally by expressions, gestures or actions to signify approval" R v kulbacki: owner of car did not object 16 year old girlfriend driving over speed limit - convicted as accessory for dangerous driving. Girl was raped by 18 men and identified 2 of them who denied it. Dunlop saw the girl getting raped and him and the co-accused left.
