Scrotal skin thins and become pendulous (hanging down loosely) Caused from degeneration of afferent neurons in the rectal wall. May cause retention of stool or the internal sphincter may lose its tone and the external sphincter cannot by itself control bowels therefore leading to incontinence: pubic hair. Pubic alopecia loss of pubic hair: testosterone levels. Erections more dependent on tactile stimulation: penis. Testes may drop lower: prostate gland. Often covered by benign hyperplasia of glandular tissue. Recognition and reaction to illness is rooted in cultural beliefs, values, social, and family structures.
