Talk is about balancing responsibilities, defects of a litigious. Philosophical communitarianism does not have any clear policy. Philosophical communitarianism: conceptions of the self and person, whether the state can or should seek to be neutral, whether principles of justice apply universally or are culture specific. Political communitarianism: communitarianism as a political movement, the kind that issues manifestos, proposes policies and tries to influence politicians culture, importance of family, and urgent need to rebuild local communities. It is a culture of egoism, of individualism and self gratification implications at all. Some advocates of the big society believe the welfare state is the problem not the solution. Some hold that community is a legitimate source of moral authority in such a way that the government is justified in promoting certain ways of life (heterosexuality rather than homosexuality, marriage) Community is contrasted with liberal individualism which is presented as being morally impoverished, philosophically naive and/or sociologically ill.
