Document Summary
Learning is a process by which experience produces a relatively enduring change in an organism"s behavior or capabilities. Learning is measured by changes in performance. Learning is a process of personal adaptation to the ever-changing circumstances of our life. Although learning explores how we adapt to the environment, it is important to keep in mind that not all learned behavior is adaptive (e. g. problem gambling) In this class, learning will be discussed under the following subtopics: Focus on stimulus and response ( black box theory: put stimulus in the black box and get out a response, can"t examine what is actually occurring inside that black box) Classical conditioning model or pavlovian (associating one stimulus with another) Association of neutral stimulus with one that consistently elicits a response. Started thinking there must be an association between him & the food. The association that"s important is between a stimulus and another stimulus.
