Social influence extends beyond behavior it includes our thoughts, feelings, and our overt acts. Even when we"re not in physical presence there is influence (e. g. we attempt to make decisions that would make our parents proud). Social psychology is the study of how people"s thoughts feelings, and behaviors are influenced by the real or imaginative presence of others. For example, we get a physiological response just by thinking about the person we love. It is the scientific study of how people: think about each other, feel about each other, relate to each other.
