Aboriginal: person who is irst naions, inuit, or meis. Four categories of aboriginals: first naions registered under indian act, first naions not registered, inuit, meis. Minority groups are any group that holds less power than the dominant group. Don"t always need to be the majority to be the dominant group. Clan membership: individuals required to marry outside the clan to which they belonged. Migratory huning groups: based more on social bonds rather than rigid territorial boundaries. Families of the heart: voluntary groups that aim to preserve tradiional ways assume some of the funcions of extended family members.
