Crime is essentially breaking the law. not all places have laws. formation of laws needs a central body like a state that makes and controls the laws. Criminal law has not been a part of most of human history. Mode of production: the dominant form of social and technical organization of economic production in a society. historically, a variety of models of production can be distinguished based on both technology and the structure of social relationships. Collective solidarity: a state of social bonding or interdependency that rests on similarity of beliefs and values shared activities and ties of kinship and cooperation among members of a community. There was solidarity in hunter and gatherer societies because there was no surplus so they had to share with the group.
