Property crimes range from innocent acts to far costlier such as shoplifting, robbery, vandalism, etc. Unique because it is praised and can carry a degree of prestige - i. e bonnie and clyde, oceans eleven. Can be associated with any indictable offence, such as vandalism. 2014 - total of 151, 921 total police reported cases of breaking and entering - fallen by 63% Three categories: residential, business, and those involving non-residential private structures like detached garages, sheds, and storage facilities. Declining because: possibly the use and improved quality of security. People living in high rise apartments are less likely to be victims of household theft then those living in other types of homes.
