Honour killing: a family-initiated planned violent response to the perception that a women as a wife or daughter has violated the honour of her family by crossing a boundary of sexual appropriateness. Almost always involves the murder of a woman by her male family members 2. The killer does not normally act alone 3. Suspicion of an alleged impropriety is often enough to justify an honor crime 4. Most experts insist an essential characteristic of an honor killing is that it is premeditated. Crime of capital: (marxist theorist michalowski) socially injurious acts that arise from the ownership or management of capital or from occupancy of positions of trust in institutions designed to facilitate the accumulation of capital. Modern society is composed of diverse cultural groups each maintaining distinct conduct norms or cultural rules that govern appropriate conduct and the more complex the society the greater probability of culture conflict.
