Included; racism, sexual abuse, poverty, sexism, emotional or physical abuse, heterosexism, class injuries, and acculturation. Eating was a way to cope with trauma. Most common trauma related to the origin of eating problems. Research states that between 1/3 2/3 of women who have eating disorders have been abused 61% sexual abuse. Binging, extensive dieting, and bulimia was a common eating disorder related to sexual abuse.
