Terminal feedback: augmented information given after the movement is completed. Concurrent feedback: information given during the execution of a skill. Augmented feedback serves 3 major functions: error correction provide info for correction of performance errors, motivation plays a motivational role in learner process, reinforcement reinforce the learners e orts. Shock stage learners are initially introduced to watching themselves and are preoccupied by their appearance before using the video as a tool. Error detection stage learners begin to observe their practice attempts critically and identify speci c performance errors. Error correction stage learners begin to make associations with speci c technical elements and outcome will progress to third stage. Independence stage little to no dependence on instructor feedback is needed. Content of augmented feedback: error versus correct feedback focusing on what the learner is doing right or wrong, descriptive vs. prescriptive feedback. Descriptive feedback: practitioner simply describes the nature of the performance error.
