One way to understand clinical practice is through goals and methods. Another is through the approach to music therapy developed or embraced by the therapist and the underlying theory that supports it. Model: a comprehensive system of practice that includes theoretical principles, goals, indications and contraindications, methodological procedures and techniques, guidelines for relationships within the practice, expectations for the process of development and competency or training requirements. Ex: guided imagery and music, and nordoff-robbins music therapy. Approach: a way of applying a given perspective to a subject, object, or thought. Wilber (1995, 2000) says human experiences can be understood according to four basic dimensions: i, Upper dimensions are i experiences; internal and external experiences that can be reported by or observed in individuals. It is concerned with client"s skills and behaviour, how therapy supports changes in these areas. I concerned with person"s inner experiences, his/her feelings and memories and how therapy brings changes in consciousness.
