Road that leads to success will be more interesting and rewarding if the focus is on the process (means) rather than the product (end) Focus on process means energy in concentrated on journal rather than merely destination. If we put our energies only into getting to our destination, we block our sensibilities along the way. If we are single minded in pursuit of far off goal, we may fail to enjoy the views and activites along the way. One of major impediments on road to learning is patience. Beginners often tempted to look for short cuts of quick results without application of disciplines mental and physical effort. When studnets learn to enjoy the journey real progress begins. Periods when little or nothing appears to be happening. Frustration can be avoided by using plateaus as learing time for consolidating and internalizing muscular and mental responses through purposeful repetitious practice. Next growth spurt will probably take student by surprise.
