Document Summary

A young person"s physical attractiveness is a moderately good predictor of how frequently they date. Men ran attractiveness as more important than females, thus females worry more about their appearance and better recall other"s appearance. Women do value attractiveness too, however also value dependability, warmth, humour, honesty etc. Men more likely to vote for physically attractive female candidates and women more likely to vote for approachable looking may candidates. Heterosexual people display a positive bias toward attractive job candidates and university applicants if they are of the other sex. People pair off with people who are about as attractive as they are. People select friends and partners who are a good match in terms of intelligence and attractiveness. Those who are similar in physical attractiveness more likely to fall deeply in love. In couples that differ in perceived hotness, the less attractive person often has compensating qualities that create an equitable match.
