Sociological perspective- stresses the social contexts in which people live & how they influence their life. Sociological imagination- looking at the world in a way which allows you to line private problems and important social issues. Social location- looking at occupation, income, education, gender, age and ethnicity. Macrosociology: focuses on broad features of society, sociologists who use this approach analyze social class and patriarchy, this theory examines large-scale social forces that influence peoples conduct in public. Microsociology: emphasis is placed on social interaction, people do things because of external influences- such as where and when we live. The natural sciences: academic disciplines designed to comprehend events in our natural environment, divided into specialized fields-> biology, geology, chemistry, & physics. Political science- focuses on how people govern themselves. Anthropology- examines the origins of human migration and the development of tools. Economics- theory and management of the production, distribution and consumption of goods.
