Just to provide some insight, the perspective of feminism in this chapter was further divided into sub-topics which included structural functionalism, symbolic functionalism, and con ict theory. Structural functionalism is the theory that attempts to explain why society functions the way it does while symbolic functionalism deals microsociology and social psychology. An example provided in the text was the ideology of how males and females theoretically have di erent experiences and di erent approaches to power which are socially constructed. The content in this chapter did not really di er in terms of my prior knowledge before reading it.
