Hrm 3430 develop objectives and analyze the external environment. The development of the objectives is so important and significant. It needs to be properly and accurately done. This is because is measures and determines what the organization plans on achieving and getting out of their business and/or company. Goals are categorized and split into two: hard or soft. Hard goals relates to the mathematical side. Numbers, fractions, decimals, statistical data, data management, sales, revenues, monetary, profitability. It has to do with how they have either succeeded or failed based on the comparison of their numbers in relation to performance and productivity. It is specific, thorough, detailed, in depth, because it is specific and particular to an action or something has happened or been achieved. This could be something like instead of saying profitability has increased or decreased, have gone up or down, they put include evidentiary support to back it up and also relate it directly to the action oriented.
