Problem with first meditation is, there is no guide to read it.  Preamble for meditation 1 1. What the meditations is doing, is seeking the first principles of human knowledge,  furthermore, there are only 2 candidates for supplying these principles, sense and reason. Senses – Skepticism First thing Descartes asked himself is, if we’re dealing with the sense, who use their  sense regard the world. Secondly, how do they regard truth about the world using their sense. Nobody in this world, have direct contact with an object. 1. If you were to put on coloured glasses, what you’re looking at wouldn’t look the  same.  2. Perception always requires a perspectiveso the further away you are, the smaller  it looks. With tools (microscople, teleschope, ultra sound) you can see more.  Furthermore, we are also subject to trickery. Represantive realism – is the ordinary way of approaching the world in Correspondence reality
