Those who provide care to patients whether they prefer the label. Provider , practitioner , clinician , or professional have both a tremendous responsibility and opportunity to help people live better and healthier lives. The need for our health care systems as a whole to elevate the quality of patient care is clear: the pathway forward for each of us as individual practitioners will be different. As scientifically educated and clinically trained individuals, health care professionals possess a wealth of knowledge and facts about health, wellness, illness, and treatment options. Knowing facts and recalling details accurately does not automatically translate into better patient care and a healthy and happy outcome.
