Under the unconscious level we are automatically processing information that we aren"t aware of and create implicit memories that are non-declarative memories. Implicit memories include procedural skills such as how to ride a bike and classically conditioned association responding to a stimulus. You can also process the following without effort: Space knowing what section a certain diagram was located while studying knowing the surroundings. Time if you forget something you can retrace you day to recall where you may have lost your item. Frequency remembering how many times things occur- bumping into someone 3 times in your day. Effortful processing can become automatic- depending on how much practice goes into it- reading was once effortful and now it is automatic. Sensory memory this is momentary memory of images, scenes or sounds which feeds the active memory- remembering a number seconds before dialing it and then forgetting the digits.
