Mode: is the most frequently occurring score of scores. Mean: the arithmetic average of a set of scores. Median: is the midpoint of an ordered set of data from least to greatest. It is also known as the 50th percentile. Always note which measure of central tendency is reported. Variation: is a measure of how similar or diverse a set of scores is. Range: the gap between the lowest and highest set of scores provides a crude estimate of variation. Standard deviation: measures how much scores deviate from each other.
