There is a rise in teen"s committing homicide. Aggression is the intentional behaviour at causing either physical or psychological pain: the important factor is the intension, if a drunk driver hits you with their car it wasn"t intentions, therefore not aggression. Hostile aggression an act aggression stemming from feeling of anger and aimed at inflicting pain or injury. Instrumental aggression aggression as means to some goal other than causing pain: people who play football have to use aggressive acts to block the opponent. Thomas hobbs: believed in law and order could curb our natural instinct for aggression. Jean-jacques: noble savages naturally gentle but society makes us aggressive. Males are aggressive for two reasons: they want to est. dominance over other males. The idea that women will choose a male who likely to pass on the best genes and protect offspring: males aggress jealously. This theory also states that men are likely to be most aggressive during reproductive years (teens 20s)
