Ex: how a word sounds, looks & means (requires attention) It has been suggested that the ability to imagine oneself in the future gives us an adaptive advantage in terms of our flexibilities in dealing with situations. Specific types of future mental time travel may help increase happiness and reduce our stress. Attention- focusing awareness on a narrowed range of stimuli or events (location is flexible not fixed)
