Szaz-humanist-categorizing harms more than helps: dehumanize ppl; oversimplify; stigmatizing labels. Apa-standard for psychopathology: dsm- diagnostic statistic manual use reliability and validity, reliability-consistency, validity-accuracy of the diagnosis, reliability: Consistency is key in diagnosing and classifying. Harder in mental disorder than in medical. Statistic correlation-b. w. judges and b. w. tests and retest results: higher correlation; higher reliability, validity: After reliable test; accuracy is in question. Iq test are reliable but are they valid; not so clear. Not easy to have reliability and validity at same time. In order to increase reliability; some simplification needed ; causing less accuracy.
