Phonological loop is part of working memory that is responsible for processing verbal and auditory info together at a time other and these different types of info tend not to influence one another. Visuo-spatial sketchpad is responsible for processing visual and spatial knowledge. There is interference if 2 tasks require resources from the same part of working memory.
