Age-standardized mortality rate considers the fact that more deaths occur in older age groups: used to measure a population"s health . People who have been married have a lower mortality rate than those who never married: educational status is also related to mortality rate. African countries have the highest mortality in terms of crude morality rate, with south africa having the highest of all countries in the world (due to infectious or parasitic diseases)
