July 16 Job Crisis QuestionFor many including myself unemployment is a growing concern as we approach another year of our university degree and closer to face the job crisis that is in happening in Canada We students need to be aware how this happened in the first place and if there is anything that can be done or is our education and training all for nought To tackle this social issue Neil Sandell has written a few articles in The Star He has spent a year doing his research as part of the Atkinson Fellowship in Public Policy and came to some surprising results Contrary to popular belief baby boomers are not the cause of the shortage of job because back in the 70s and 80s when the government gave the seniors an incentive to retire early their retirement did not help with the unemployment but in fact made it worse One of the main reasons why this can happen is because the unemployed young person might not have the right skills to fill the retirees job Sandell 2012 Employers still complain th
