Audience will find the speaker more competent and understandable if speech is organized. Main points = the major points developed in the body of a speech. Most speeches contain from two to five main points. Select them carefully, phrase precisely, and arrange them strategically. Normally three main points that can cover the main parts of a topic or the steps in a process. When doing a persuasive speech, each main point should present a reason why your side is right. Number of main points: almost always 3 but can be anywhere form 2-5. If you have too many you can try to condense them down.
