I terminated a friendship in my freshman year of high school with a. Looking back, i feel as though i made those communicative choices. In the first stage of duck"s model, the intrapsychic stage, i started to girl that i was a best friend with for about five years. I used the de- escalation messages method to terminate this friendship. When she walked up to me in the hallway during lunch and said that she wanted us to be okay again, i responded by directly telling her, we won"t be okay if we continue this friendship. I don"t want to be friends with you anymore because you"re selfish and make everything about you. i didn"t say it with an attitude, and i didn"t make any faces in an effort to prevent being hurtful towards her.
