The myth that i most frequently fall victim to is communication having the ability to solve all of my problems. I am an extremely confrontational person if an issue arises because i like to be on good terms with everybody who plays any role in my life. In effect to my goal of "always wanting to be on everybody"s good side," i often forget about what might be best for the opposing person in the disagreement. I don"t take into account that a day to cool down may be better than talking things out with a person because time can sometimes be the best remedy. A personal example of this would be a dispute that i had with a manger at my workplace. I was asked to come in on an off day that i had requested for because i had to have a root canal done around eight in the morning.
