Greek philosophy 400 bc, classical age, pre-philosophy was the philosophy before the philosophers. It is the love of knowledge and wisdom. Started with the religion and the interaction of gods with the humans. What is music god is its author : math and music is evidence of god, heraclitus of ephesus said the world is in constant flux and the only thing that doesn"t change is change, change is constant. He tried to identify the source of change and came up with logos: empedocles of acragas created the thought that are four elements air, fire, earth, and water. Leucippus of miletus- said that things were made out of little atoms. All of these guys were considered pre philosophers: sophists those who make a business of being wise, someone who teaches for pay. They tried to make the weaker argument sound like the stronger argument: they pushed rational argument. He opened it next to a gym with an athlete called academis.
