Document Summary
Why video: can encapsulate certain emotions that wouldn"t translate as well on print. Makes certain connections easier/possible with the visual aspect. Gives viewers more power, more understanding: good for pr, journalism, all mass comm, it"s an effective tool. Contrast: cameras don"t shoot well when there is high contrast between the darkest and brightest parts of the screen. There should be no windows, white boards or bright stuff in the background when you"re inside. If you shoot outside, your foreground and background should also match (i. e. if you shoot someone in the shade, the background should also be shady). *when you"re inside, keep bright stuff out of the background. No windows, lamps, tv or computer screens, white boards, etc. *when outside, match foreground and background, and how much light there is. The foreground and background have to both be sunny, shady, etc. -don"t underestimate how bright overcast weather can be, it"s brighter than indoor lighting.
