She didn"t want to hit him, she just wanted the ball: sports are instrumental aggression, males and females equally likely to express. Retaliatory expression: retaliating against someone you perceived to have harmed you. Just has to be perceived, not actually done: middle and high school for males. If you don"t retaliate, they will keep on picking at you: the underlying principle of bullying. Drive theories: aggression stems from external conditions that arouse the motive to harm or injure others.
