Anagnorisis- recognition, the reversal of fortune brings about a change of heart in the hero. Luke must save his father (reversal/anagnoris) confilct an essential aspect of dramatic construction. Aristotle drama=events in action, driven by conflict, carried by characters. The women come in slowly, and stand close to the door . The women listen to the men steps on the stairs then look about the kitchen . Design-what kind of relationships does the set establish btw the world of the play and the audience? what relationship does the lay. Central idea, message of the piece the audience should walk away with. Should be grounded in the text/performances, but also speak to the current historic moment. Major dramatic question what is the play asking.
