Information systems that span an organization and support activities of people in multiple departments: typically have hundreds to thousands of users, changes must be carefully planned, cautiously implemented, and users given considerable training. Information systems that are shared by 2 or more independent organizations. Involve hundreds to thousands of users: solutions to problems require cooperation among different organizations, how do enterprise systems solve the problems of information silos, information silo.
