Although the knowledge acquired in college is critical to graduates" success, the process of succeeding in school is very different from the process of succeeding at work. Converge in what employers are looking for: social and personal skills, the ability to work in groups, flexibility, etc. Thinking skills - includes such items as interpreting and evaluating information, testing and formulating hypotheses, analysis, information gathering and handling, evaluation, using research methodology, referencing, writing, etc. Self-management skills - includes items like time management, self-discipline, presentation skills and public speaking, self-confidence, responsibility, and self assessment. Corporate management skills - involves managing people and resources, negotiation, adaptability, networking, leadership, teamwork, assertiveness, etc. Majority of most graduates do not pursue graduate training. You will not be able to be a practicing psychologist without an advanced degree in psychology.
