Perceived organizational support (pos) - employees beliefs concerning the extent to which the organization values their contribution and cares about their well-being. Emphasizes the role of the organization in satisfying employee"s social and emotional needs, and employees" beliefs that they will be supported and rewarded by the organization by performing in ways that benefit the organization. Unique work belief given that it represents an employee"s view of the organization"s view toward the employee. Lower work-related stressors, perceived organizational justice, job autonomy, organizational rewards, and the personality variable of conscientiousness are all associated with higher levels of pos. Pos has been found to predict both task and contextual performance, low levels of employee strain, lower turnover intentions and actual turnover, and less withdrawal. Organizational identification - degree of oneness an employee feels toward an organization and can therefore be distinguished from organizational commitment. Organizational commitment - assesses the quality of the relationship between the individual and the organization.
